In December 2006 Mission East made a trip to the Karnali region of Nepal to see what help they could provide to the villages there. These are some of the photos from the assessment and you can read more about why we made the trip here or view some of the photos of the journey to reach Karnali.
02) "After four days walking, we arrived at the first subdistrict to be assessed. One of our team, such as Pertebi here, would go in advance to each subdistrict to arrange a community meeting with the relevant leaders. In this village (Lohuti in Kalika) we happened to arrive the same time as a delegation of regional Maoist leaders. The Maoists played an active part in the community meeting and were very supportive."
