In December 2006, Mission East carried out a detailed needs assessment in the remote Karnali region of Nepal to see what help they could provide to the villages there (following on from the initial needs assessment carried out in October 2006). These are some of the photos of the journey to the region. You can read more about why we made the trip

A commentary is provided by Graeme Glover, team leader for the assessment (please click on \"slideshow\" and then select \"Captions\".)
2) "19 December...Leaving Simikot for the first day's walking. It is surprisingly hot during the day. As we were going to be losing altitude each day, these will be the last yaks we see for a while."

Mission East is a
Danish international relief and development organisation, working in Eastern Europe and Asia. Our aim is to deliver
relief aid, to create and support long-term development projects and to empower local aid organisations to carry on the
work independently. Making no racial, religious or political distinction between those in need, we aim to assist the
most vulnerable.
