Mission East is a Danish international relief and development organisation, working in Eastern Europe and Asia. Our aim is to deliver relief aid, to create and support long-term development projects and to empower local aid organisations to carry on the work independently. Making no racial, religious or political distinction between those in need, we aim to assist the most vulnerable.

A day in Northern Armenia
Thursday June 24th was a long day in the province of Tavush in Northern Armenia. Managing Director Kim Hartzner visited the medical centre Mission East had open 18 months ago, a Child Development and Rehabilitation Centre run by Mission East partner Arabkir, where disabled children can get a diagnosis and follow-up help from a number of specialists under the leadership of a clever paediatrician.
He also visited two families, each of which showed that there are still many disabled children in the poor rural areas of Armenia in need of assistance.
And finally he visited two of the Family Centres where children can come and learn and where their parents can get help in a situation that often seems hopeless.
About his visit Kim Hartzner says: "Above all I could witness Mission East and our partners creating hope and a future for hundreds of children in a part of the world seldom reaching the attention of the media. In that way I was once again confirmed in my strong conviction that our work makes a huge difference in the lives of these people and that it is worth all our efforts.”
Please have a look at these pictures and read the stories of these children!
